Cafeteria
The hospitality shop is located on the ground floor and is available to all visitors during the following times:
Weekdays: 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Weekends: 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Vending machines are also on the ground floor of the hospital.
Parking/Security
Visitor parking is provided in designated areas of the hospital lot. Spaces for handicapped parking also are available. Should a visitor need assistance, the parking attendants can provide wheelchairs at the front entrance of the hospital.
Visiting Hours
Visiting hours are 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. For visitation outside of those hours, special circumstances can be accommodated. Please contact the nursing supervisor.
Admission & Marketing Department
The Admissions and Marketing Department may be contacted to answer any questions regarding hospital services and patient appropriateness and accepts patient referrals made by health care facilities (hospitals, home health agencies, skilled nursing facilities) or families. There is an on-call marketing representative available to answer questions or accept referrals after business hours or on weekends.
The department is staffed with a Director of Marketing, Admission Coordinator and three Clinical Liaisons. Patients are assessed on site, whenever possible, in the hospital, home or skilled nursing setting. The Clinical Liaisons work with the attending physicians, case managers, patient and family to determine appropriateness for admission to Wyoming Valley. Physicians may follow their patients to Kindred and credentialing can be facilitated at the time of referral.
Hospitals, physicians and other health care agencies may schedule a marketing appointment with the Director of Marketing to learn more about our level of care and how to partner with our specialty hospital as part of the healthcare continuum.
Local Accommodations
The hotels listed below provide a preferred rate to families and visitors of patients at Kindred Hospital. Both facilities are about five (5) miles or less from the hospital, are near the Wyoming Valley Mall area, and accessible to multiple restaurants.
